AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY BOUND BY
EVERGREEN AND LANTANA AVENUES TO THE EAST AND
WEST, RESPECTIVELY, ARB EllA STREET TO THE NORTH
AND IDLEWILD DRIVE TO THE SOUTH, APPROXIMATELY 250
FEET WEST OF KING'S HIGHWAY, CONSISTING OF THREE
PARCELS OF LAND THAT INCLUDES LOT 8, BLOCK H,
BROOKLAWN SUBDIVISION, LOTS 1 THROUGH SIX AND 9
THROUGH 14, BLOCK I, BROOKLAWN SUBDIVISION, AND 0.28
ACRES OF THE ABUTTING ARBELlA STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY,
WHOSE POST OFFICE ADDRESS IS 2060 EVERGREEN
AVENUE, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND
REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO
INCLUDE SAID ADDITION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owner of the real property described herein and depicted on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit A has petitioned the City of Clearwater to annex the property into the
City pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, and the City has complied with all applicable
requirements of Florida law in connection with this ordinance; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following-described property is hereby annexed into the City of Clearwater
and the boundary lines of the City are redefined accordingly:
Lot 8, Block H, Lots 1 to 6, and Lots 9 to 14, Block I, Brooklawn Subdivision.
Plat Book 13, Page 59, Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida and 0.28 acres
of the abutting Arbelia Street right-of-way. (ANX2004-08014)
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are found and determined to be consistent
with the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan. The City Council hereby accepts the dedication
of all easements, parks, rights-of-way and other dedications to the public, which have heretofore
been made by plat, deed or user within the annexed property. The City Engineer, the City Clerk
and the Planning Director are directed to include and show the property described herein upon the
official maps and records of the City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption. The City Clerk
shall file certified copies of this ordinance, including the map attached hereto, with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court and with the County Administrator of Pinellas County, Florida, within 7 days after
adoption, and shall file a certified copy with the Florida Department of State within 30 days after
adoption.
