Re: Parkina License Extension for the Holiday Inn SunSoree
Dear Mr. Barrett:
Thank you for your letter of April 6 regarding the extension of the hotel's parking
license agreement. Please let this letter serve as the hotel's formal notice of its intent to
exercise its first option to extend the license agreement for an additional five year term.
Under the terms of the agreement, I understand that you will notify us of any change in the
quarterly fees and will continue to invoice us as you have in the past.
If you require anything further to complete the extension process, please don't
hesitate to call me at 447-9566. In the meantime, thank you for your assistance.

RE: Holiday Inn Sunspree - Parking license extension, rent adjustment
Dear Mr. Book:
I am in receipt of your May 1, 2001 letter confirming Lane Clearwater's exercise of its
first option to extend the referenced license agreement for an additional five-year term
commencing October 1, 2001 through September 20, 2006.
I am enclosing a copy of the Consumer Price Index - All Urban Consumers documenting
the Index reflects an increase of 3.7% between January, 2000 and January, 2001. This
is the adjustment period as defined in the license agreement. Therefore, commencing
October 1, 2001 the rent payment due each quarter thereafter through September 20,
2002 will be $933.30 plus 7% sales tax for a total quarterly payment of $998.63.
Your letter will be forwarded to the City Clerk and appropriate City records will reflect
both the term extension and quarterly rent adjustment. Thank you for your timely
response and cooperation in these matters. Please call me at 562-4754 if I may be of
further assistance.
Sincerely,
Earl Barrett
