The original term of the agreement was for five years, terminating August 31, 1997, unless GTE exercises the first of two five year extension options. Bob Kersteen sent a letter dated April 21, 1997 providing notice that GTE intended to extend the license term unless the City is notified to the contrary prior to expiration of the initial term. Presuming GTE will exercise its option and extend the license for an additional five year term, please calculate the rent adjustment for the initial year of the extension as provided in Paragraph 4 ("Rent") of the license and deliver a check in that amount, plus 7% sales tax, directly to my attention on or before the September I, 1997 anniversary date.
