RE: Annual Rent - Del Oro Water Tower License
Dear Mr. Bassuener:
This letter will serve as a "tickler" concerning the annual license fee due the City of Clearwater
pursuant to the License the City granted GTE Mobilnet on August 20, 1992 for installation and
operation of cellular antennae upon its Del Oro water tower at Drew Street and McMullen Booth
Road.
The original term of the agreement was for five years, terminating August 31, 1997, unless GTE
exercises the first of two five year extension options. Bob Kersteen sent a letter dated April 21,
1997 providing notice that GTE intended to extend the license term unless the City is notified to the
contrary prior to expiration of the initial term.
Presuming GTE will exercise its option and extend the license for an additional five year term,
please calculate the rent adjustment for the initial year of the extension as provided in Paragraph 4
("Rent") of the license and deliver a check in that amount, plus 7% sales tax, directly to my
attention on or before the September I, 1997 anniversary date. If there are any questions in
calculating the rent adjustment, please collaborate with Mark Tedder in the City's Finance

matter to which the City may be a party.
