RESULTS OF SAMPLING INSPECTIONS (2) STATE OF FLORIDA OEPARTMlNT OF ENVIRONMENTAL RlGULATION 7601 HIGHWAY 301 NORTH TAMPA, FLORIDA 33610 BOB GRAHAM GOVERNOR JACOBO. These inspections were performed by Bruce L. Cartter, Jr. of our Engineering Staff. A copy of this letter and the completed EPA 7500-5 and 3560-3 report forms will be forwarded to EPA to inform them of our actions. The rating of this plant is acceptable based on both the DER TP52-l7072 and EPA's A079-63 (WLSU). Although phosphorous removal and Nitrate Nitrogen removal are not required, the facility is meeting the final pounds per day limits (at the average annual flow) for BOD, SSr Total P, TKN, but not for total Nitrogen as most of the NC3is not being biologically denitrified. The use of Ferrous Sulfate for odor control and corrosion control al~o has the advantage of removing some of the phosphorous. We would like to express our appreciation to your staff for their cooperation and assistance in conducting these inspections. Sincerely, BLC/scm ennessey District Manager Southwest District cc: EPA District NPDES A. Grandic F.
