Amendment to Vehicle Use Ae:reement
THIS AMENDMENT TO VEHICLE USE AGREEMENT ("Amendment") is entered into this
~ day of July ,2008, by and between THE SCHOOL BOARD OF PINELLAS COUNTY,
FLORIDA ("School Board") and City of Clearwater ("User").
WHEREAS, the parties entered into a Vehicle Use Agreement on or about May 13,2008
("VUA"), that contained provisions for payment of certain sums by User to the Board in exchange for the
usage of buses;
WHEREAS, the parties desire to revise a component of the payment provisions to reflect the
increased fuel and other costs incurred by usage of buses.
NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:

4. (a) User shall pay to the School Board, for the use of said school bus service, a sum per
bus of $19.20 per hour to include 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after trip charge,
plus a surcharge rate per mile for weekday trips that begin before 4:00 p.m., with a
minimum charge of four hours. The surcharge rate per mile will be that rate used by
the School Board, in its sole discretion, as of the date of the bus usage. User may
contact the School Board's Transportation Department at any time to inquire as to the
current surcharge rate.
(b) If requests extend to service that begins after 4:00 p.m., the expense will include a
minimum charge of four hours, a sum per bus of $19.20 per hour to include 30
minutes before and 30 minutes after trip charge, plus a surcharge rate per mile for the
trips that begin after 4:00 p.m. weekdays, weekends, and any non-school day. The
surcharge rate per mile will be that rate used by the School Board, in its sole
discretion, as of the date of the bus usage. User may contact the School Board's
Transportation Department at any time to inquire as to the current surcharge rate.
