GENERAL IRRIGATION NOTES:
IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL EXERCISE CARE SO AS TO NOT DAMAGE
EXISTING UTILITIES. IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING
UTILITIES. IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
IMMEDIATE REPAIRS OF ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY HIS WORK.
ALL MAIN LINE PIPING SHALL BE BURIED AT A DEPTH TO HAVE A MINIMUM
COVER OF 18". ALL LATERAL LINE PIPING TO HAVE A MINIMUM COVER OF
12".
IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ELECTRICAL
HOOK-UPS.
SUPPLY PIPING SHALL BE FLUSHED FREE OF ALL DIRT, DEBRIS, AND CHIPS
PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE BACKFLOW PREVENTOR.
SLEEVES SHALL BE REQUIRED UNDER ALL SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAYS.
MINIMUM SLEEVE SIZE SHALL BE 2".
12" HIGH POP-UPS SHALL BE USED IN ALL SHRUBBERY AREAS,
SUPPORT THE RISER WITH A #5 REBAR STAKE AND NYLON CABLE TIES.
ALL 24 VOLT WIRES FROM THE IRRIGATION CONTROLLER TO THE REMOTE
CONTROL VALVES SHALL BE AWG SIZE 14, TYPE UF DIRECT BURIAL, SINGLE
STRAND WIRE. WIRES ARE TO BE BUNDLED TOGETHER THEN TIED TO THE
BOTTOM OF THE MAIN LINE PIPE W/TIES AT 10' INTERVALS. WIRE BURIED
IN TRENCHES W/OUT MAIN LINE PIPE SHALL BE INSERTED IN 1/2" CL 160
PVC PIPE AND BURIED WITH A MINIMUM COVER OF 16".
IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE THE BACKFLOW PREVENTOR TESTED BY
A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN.
BACKFLOW PREVENTOR SHALL BE TESTED AT LEAST ANNUALL~
REFER TO THE LANDSCAPE PLAN WHEN TRENCHING TO AVOID TREES AND
SHRUBS.
ALL PVC PIPING FOR MAINLINE , SLEEVES AND RISERS SHALL BE SCH. 40.
ALL OTHER PIPING SHALL BE CLASS 160 OR 200. VERIFY WITH LOCAL CODES.
ALL POP-UP ROTORS AND SPRAYS SHALL BE INSTALLED USING AN 18" FLEX
PIPE CONNECTION.
ADJUST ALL NOZZLES TO REDUCE WATER WASTE ON HARD SURFACES AND
WALLS.
THROTTLE VALVES ON SPRAY ZONES AS REQUIRED TO PREVENT FOGGING.
IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE AN AS-BUILT DRAWING ON
REPRODUCIBLE PAPER SHOWING ALL INSTALLATION THAT DEVIATES FROM
THESE DRAWINGS. THE AS-BUILT SHALL LOCATE ALL MAIN LINE PIPING,
CONTROL WIRES AND VALVES BY SHOWING EXACT MEASUREMENTS FROM HARD
SURFACES.
ALL VALVES, GA TE VALVES AN D QU I CK COU PLI N G VALVES SH ALL BE
INSTALLED IN VALVE BOXES. VALVE BOXES SHALL HAVE A MIN. 3" BED OF
PEA GRAVEL.
