Dear Mr. Hamilton:
This letter is in reference to the Lease Agreement dated
July 1, 1969 between you and the City oi Clearwater.
This agreement was for a period of five years~ thereby ending
on June 30~ 1974. The lease contained an option to renew for
an additional five year s.
According to the City Clerk. we have no record of this
lease having been renewed.
Please advise me if the lease was renewed. If it was not,
please state in your letter if it is your request that the lease
be renewed.

I was not furnished a copy of subject Lease at the time it
'i'ras executed. I have therefore been una"rare of the term and conditions
of the Lease.
I am not aware of any action being tw(en to exercise the
rene't'lal option granted under Paragraph 2 of the Lease.
Insofar as maintenance and operation of the facility are
concerr.ed, ~~. Hamilton has been a good Tenant of the City.
After revie'inng the Lease, I find no incident '<There he has
not faithfully complied with the Lease Agreement.
Based upon my professional knowledge and experience of r,~.
Hamilton's operation, I recorrunend that the rene'ival option be granted
subject to such terms as may be mutually agreed upon.

I have no information pertaining to the lease of the
South Clearwater Beach Concession facility and presume
arrangements have been carried out in accordance with
the agreement.
The lessee is an honorable individual and unless there
are adverse circumstances with which I am not familiar,
I suggest renewal of the contract through the second
five year period. The present lease provides for a
review of financial arrangements.
