FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT is made on the r day of , 2008, by and between the
CITY OF CLEARWATER, P.O. Box 4748, Clearwater, Florid 33758-4748 (the "City") and the law
firm of AKERMAN, SENTERFITT & EIDSON, P.A., Citrus Center, Suite 1700, 255 South Orange
Avenue, P.O. Box 231, Orlando, Florida 32801 ("Counsel").
WIT N E SSE T H:
WHEREAS, the City and Counsel entered into an Agreement for Legal Services
("Agreement") dated August 17, 2007, for a term of one (1) year which expires on September 30,
2008, for services not to exceed $25,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, additional work unforeseen at the time of contract renewal will need to be
conducted which will require additional services from Counsel in excess of $25.000.00, but not to
exceed $50,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises made below, the parties agree
as follows:
1. Section 4, PROFESSIONAL FEES FOR SERVICES, shall be amended to allow for
additional professional fees not to exceed $50,0000.00 for the term of the Agreement.
2. All other provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have duly executed this First Amendment on the
