MsASS - Youth llness and Diversity Program (YWDP)
MEMO
As you are aware the Boys and Gir s Club of the Suncoast, City of Clearwater, City of
Largo, City of St. Petersburg, R'Club Child Care Inc., the Tarpon Springs Housing
Authority, the YMCA of the Suncoast, and Life Force Cultural Arts Academy/Sanderlin
NFC have agreed to participate in the MSASS - Youth Wellness and Diversity Program
(YWDP) that will provide a seven week diversity, bullying and wellness curriculum to
youthat your sites. Clearly with the number of agencies involved, as well as the scope of
this project, everyone's cooperation and support is critical to the success of this endeavor.
To insure that we all have the same, understanding of our roles and responsibilities I
would like to clarify the details.
A. The Site Agency Responsibilities
1. Insure adequate space is provided that meets the needs
of the YWDP curriculum.
2. Insure that the youth identified for participation are
present at the designated time for the scheduled
activities.
3. Identify for the YWDP independent consultants and
JWB staff no less than one staff per group who will be
consistently responsible for facilitating ongoing
activities to reinforce program learning objectives.
4. Agency site staff assigned to the group of participants
be in attendance and involved with the YWDP lesson
activities.
5. Agency site staff assigned to the group of participants
knows agency site protocols in case of an emergency.
6. Allow and assist YWDP independent consultants, who
will be responsible for presenting the curriculum to
program participants, to access resources at the facility
necessary for implementing the diversity curriculum.

7. Communicate directly with JWB staff any issues,
scheduling matters, or changes in roles or procedures
affecting YWDP.
8. Provide documentation and data as required to support
the implementation ofYWDP. YWDP pre and post
tests will be administered by site staff.
9. Meet with JWB staff and the YWDP independent
contractors as needed to discuss the implementation of
the program.
B. JWB Responsibilities
1. Execute agreements with all the parties involved with
MSASS- YWDP program.
2. Designate a Contract Manager to provide consultation
and technical assistance.
3. Serve as the fiscal agent, provide all fiscal and
accounting services, and adapt processes and
procedures to the extent feasible to accommodate the
needs of the curriculum.
4. Maintain oversight and consultation for the YWDP
independent contractors at all stages of the
implementation of the program.
5. Provide assistance and all materials required for
curriculum activities for the Trainers and participants.
C. Joint Responsibilities
1. Develop a process by which matters of concern can be
documented and formally addressed through a dispute
resolution process if necessary.
2. Act on proposed activities and requests in a timely
manner.
3. Develop a detailed plan to set priorities and deliver the
program.
All of the terms and conditions contained herein become part of the contract between
JWB and the MSASS provider, and that previously executed contracts are modified

Consensus building and shared responsibilities are the desired operational values for
accomplishing the purpose of this program. A dispute resolution process using generally
accepted practices will consist of one representative from each party, and a third
acceptable to both the Providers and JWB; however, the recommendations from the
dispute resolution process are not legally binding on either party.
