INVESTIGATION OF WATER RESOURCES -.. 1(;- ~ I I PAR TICIPA TING AGREEMENT FOR INVESTIGATION OF WATER RESOURCES THIS AGREE1.1ENT entered as of the by the FLORIDA GEOLOGICAL SURVEY, CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA 29th day of AUGUST, 1966 party of the first part, and , party of the second part. 1. The parties hereto agree that subject to the availability of appropriations and in accordance with their respective authorities, there is in existence a cooperative agreement for investigation of water resources of the State of Florida between the FLORIDA GEOLOGICAL SUR VEY, U. S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY ,and CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA ; particularly of the Hydrology of the Aquifer System in the Clearwater Area. 2. Party of the first part agrees that records, reports, and otl:.er items of information resulting from this investigation shall be n'1ade available to party of the second part upon request. as promptly as possible. 3. Party of the second part agrees to contribute the sum of _$l1,OOo.OO._toward the cost of the necessary field and office work directly related to this investigation for the period July 1, 1966 to _June ~~267 __' Such funds shall be made payable to the State Treasurer and placed in a trust fund with the Florida Geological Survey for disbursement to the U. S. Treasury upon receipt of vouchers from the U. S. Geological Survey. Such funds shall be matched by State and/ or Federal funds. 4. The parties hereto agree that if the work is not being carried on in a mutu3.11y satisfactory manner, either party may terminate this agreement upon 60 days written notice to the other party. 5. All non-expendable property necessary for the performance of this investi8'2.tion shall be purchased from funds made available by the Florida Geolc2ical Surveyor the U. S. Geological Survey.
