this Department.
The construction, and/or installation, authorized herein shall not obstruct or endanger Travel
along the State maintained road or roads and all operations shall be conducted so as to permit
reasonably free and safe travel at all times.
The State of Florida Department of Transportation reserves the right to inspect the installation
and operation of the traffic signal at all times and reserves the right to revoke and annul this
permit if the installation is subsequently considered not warranted, unsafe or any change

The City ,of Clearwater is in the process of converting their present
signal system to a computerized control system. The controllers presently
in operation at the subject locations cannot be converted to this system. It
is therefore necessary to replace these controllers with a new model that will
adapt to the computerized system.
Of the seventeen locations involved in this project, only eleven of
these are on the state maintained system.
It is requested that permits be issed for the locations listed below:
