calle~ the Department, and the CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, here-

WEEREAS, in connection with the construction plans for
the widening of Missouri Avenue from Lakeview north to Court Street
there has been included the installation of traffic signals to
be located at the intersections of S.R. S-595-A (Missouri Avenue)
and Lakeview Road, and Sunshine Mall and Druid Road, more
particularly described as Job No. 15570-3605 in Clearwater,
Pinellas County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Department desires that the City maintain
and furnish electrical power for these traffic signals upon their
installation; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 68-53, adopted on May 6,1968,
the Ci ty has agret~d to maintain and furnish electrical power for
said signals;
NOW, THEREFORE, THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH: That for and
in consideration of the mutual benefits to flow each to the other,
the City agrees as follows:
1. It will assume the sole responsibility for the main-
tenance thereof in accordance" with the Department's policies and

electrical charges incurred in connection with the operation

WHEREAS, the State Road Department is including in its construction
plans for the widening of Missouri Avenue from l...ake'view Avenue North to
Court Street the installation 01 signals at Lakeview Avenue1 the entrance to
Searstown and Sunshine Mall and Druid Road; and
WHEREAS,. the State Road Department desires written confirmation
from the City of Clearwater agreeing to the maintenance and furnishing of
pow;er for th~se signals upon completion of the installations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,. FLORIDA,.
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARL YASSEMBLED~ AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby agrees to maintain and furnish
the power for signals to be. installed at Lakeview Avenue, the entrance to
Searstown and Sunshine Mall and Druid Road, involved in the State Road
Department's widening of Missouri Avenue from Lakeview Avenue North
to Court Street..
2. That five copies of this Resolution be sent to Mr. C. W. Monts
De Oca, District Engineer, State Road Department, Bartow, Florida.
