Section 133.09 of the Code of Ordinances of the City requires that all land
that abuts a public right-of-way, which is to have new construction on it,
either for residential, commercial, industrial or other purposes, shall have
sidewalks constructed by the Owner on, across or adjacent thereto.
The Owner understands and agrees that if the waiver is granted, the City may
install sidewalks at a future date and assess the owner for the full cost of
said sidewalks.

Block D ~ 1729 Pamelia Drive
Dear Miss Wipperfurth:
In accordance with Section 133.09 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Clearwater, I have reviewed your request for a temporary sidewalk installa-
tion waiver.
Adjacent to your site is property being developed at the Northwest corner of
Sharondale and Linwood which will require the installation of a sidewalk. This
new sidewalk will be within 200 feet of your property. Accordingly, I cannot
grant a temporary waiver of the sidewalk installation requirement on the above-
referenced property and your request is denied.

I have checked the sidewalk request for this location on site and found the following:
Adjacent to this site there are no sidewalks, as indicated on the application. However,
immediately to the east is a house under construction. Both of these houses are corner
lots. The waiver request is for the northeast corner of Linwood and Pamelia. The
adjacent lot is at the northwest corner of Sharondale and Linwood. The Sharonda1e
frontage of the other house under construction abuts an existing sidewalk which will
require sidewalks to be installed at that property. The installation of sidewalks on
that property would require installation of sidewalks at 1729 Pamelia Drive.
Although technically there are no sidewalks within 200' there will be within three
months due to the need to construct sidewalks at the house immediately to the east.
It is my recommendation that the sidewalks be installed at 1729 Pamelia Drive since
it will not meet the requiremements of the code for a waiver upon completion of the
adjacent house.
