I discussed your response with Gina and we are both in agreement that the responses are fine. I suggest removing the first sentence and replacing it with:
Please be advised that the Planning Department keeps a limited amount of information because the Official Records and Legislative (ORLS) Department is the official keeper of City records.
I was, however, able to complete the following research:
1.

This is my proposed response:
Ms. Ferris,
Here is the information I can give you.
1. The oldest Future Land Use in the Planning Department is from 1997. The map shows Future Land Use category as Resort Facilities High for the two properties. The City's Official
Records and Legislative Services (ORLS) Department may have a copy of older maps. The Pinellas Planning Council may have copies of all maps they have published. The City's Zoning Atlas
from 1979 states the zoning designations are Commercial General on the northern property and Residential Medium 16 for the southern property.
2. Please contact the ORLS Department - 727-562-4090.
3. Please read the attached Staff Report.
4. Please contact the ORLS Department.

Subject: Rezoning Sand Key
Steven,
As you may remember, we have spoken previously regarding various
documents my firm was interested in, in regards to the Application for
Zoning Atlas Amendment for 1201, 1241 and 1261 Gulf Boulevard. I was
wondering if you could help me locate a few more items regarding this
matter:
1. I need a history of the land use designations for this property. I
need to know when the RFH was adopted and what it was before that.
2. I need the regulations for the R1 and R2 zoning districts back when
the B district existed. The B district regulations you sent me state
that the permitted uses shall be those allowed in the R1 and R2
districts.
3. I also need a copy of the traffic report/study regarding this
matter.
4. I am trying to locate the Rules of Procedure for the CDB meeting and
the city council meeting deciding this matter. If this is not something
you have, can you point me to the right person in the city to obtain
this information?
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. If there is someone else
I should speak with regarding any of my requests, please let me know and
I will contact that person directly.
Sincerely,
Laura M. Ferris, Paralegal
