AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this CJd day of ~
1985, be-
tween the City of Clearwater, Florida (hereinafter referred to as City) and
COMMUNITY PRIDE CHILD CARE CENTER of CLEARWATER, INC.,
(hereinafter re-
ferred to as the "PSA" and provides as follows:
WHEREAS, the City has successfully applied for a CDBG Grant from the
U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development to provide funds, inter
alia, to the "PSA" for Child Care Services in Clearwater.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agree-
ments hereinafter stated the parties hereto agree as follows:
I. The City shall provide to the "PSA" solely from its CDBG funds the
maximum sum of Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($13,900) subject to
and in accordance with the provisions of this agreement and in express re-
liance on the warranty of the "PSA" that such funds will be used exclusively
for the following project in Clearwater, Florida:
Funds for establishing and operating a child care facility in
the South Greenwood Area of Clearwater . . . . . . $13,900.00
and that
all expenditures of said funds will be in accordance
with the

provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amend-
ed, and all rules and regulations pertaining thereto.
II. As funds are required by the "PSA" for the purposes provided here-
in, the "PSA" may present to the City written requests for the amounts of
CDBG Funds required. Each such request shall contain the certification that
all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances
have been complied with in committing said funds.
Upon receiving any such
requests in proper form, the City shall duly requisition from the United
States Department of Housing and Urban Development the amount so requested
and when such amount is credited to the City's CDBG Funds, the City shall
pay that amount to the "PSA".
III. None of said funds nor any other Community Development Funds
shall be used for personnel, administrative or other operating costs of
the "PSA".
IV. All records pertaining to this project shall be retained by the
"PSA" for such period as required by applicable laws and regulations and

may thereafter be destroyed only with the prior written approval of the
City. All records shall be available for audit by representatives of the
City
and
other agencies responsible for compliance with applicable laws
and regulations.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the "PSA" have executed this agreement
as of the date first above written.
